Avenue Verte London-Paris, the 470-kilometre cycle path from Paris to London

To get to London, you've probably already taken the Eurostar, the plane, the bus or, perhaps, the car. But have you thought about cycling? In any case, that's what the Avenue Verte offers, linking Paris to London (or vice versa) over a distance of almost 500 kilometers!

From Paris to London by bike: that's what theAvenue Verte offers, combining cycle paths and mixed itineraries to go from one capital to the other, from Paris to London or from London to Paris. Accessible to all, as long as you go at your own pace and adapt the distances and gradients of each stage, it's also a great idea for a cycling trip with the family or children!

After the Scandibérique, which crosses the Île-de-France region, and the Seine à vélo, which takes you as far as Deauville or Le Havre, Paris has another great itinerary perfect for bike touring, and this time it crosses borders to take you to the English capital, London! From Paris, pedal on to Maisons-Laffitte, where you can either take the loop through Chaussy, Gisors and Saint-Germer-de-Fly, or head west, passing through Auvers-sur-Oise, Senlis, Pont Sainte Maxence, Agnetz, Beauvais and Saint-Germer-de-Fly.

From here, there's only one way to get to London: across the Channel via Newhaven, East-Grinstead, Redhill... And arrive at your destination on the London Thames. In all, you'll have to travel over 470 kilometers to reach the two European capitals, taking the ferry from Dieppe to Newhaven to cross the English Channel.

Along the way, you'll cycle along the banks of the Oise, through the Epte valley and the Vexin Français, alternating between urban and rural landscapes. A great trip to take by bike for a week or more (depending on your pace), to get from Paris to London on the strength of your calves.
