Van Gogh, la nuit étoilée: the immersive exhibition atAtelier des Lumières returns this summer for an exceptional, must-see retrospective. If you missed this eventful exhibition, or if you're a fan of Van Gogh, be sure to catch the sound and light show, which returns from July 7 and runs throughout the summer of 2025. L'Atelier des Lumières transports us into the Impressionist world of Vincent Van Gogh, allowing us to plunge into the heart of his most famous paintings.
The exhibition Van Gogh, la nuit étoilée (Van Gogh, the starry night ) was presented at theAtelier des Lumière for the first time in 2019. Much appreciated by the public, this exhibition is regularly reprogrammed at the digital art center, during the vacations, for our great pleasure. If you haven't seen it yet, grab your chance this summer!
This year, the Atelier des Lumières has changed its exhibition to bring it up to date. A revamped soundtrack, new animations, reinvented chapters: the journey into Van Gogh's world has been dusted off, for greater immersion and a renewed visitor experience.
So, what can we see in this exhibition? L'Atelier des Lumières offers a breathtaking immersion in the work of the Impressionist painter. Imagine 1,500 m² of walls, onto which Van Gogh's most famous paintings are projected. These paintings are animated to the rhythm of a playlist concocted especially for this exhibition, giving the impression of being alive. The 35-minute sound and light show features a total of over 2,000 moving images, immersing us in a breathtaking experience.
A journey to the heart of his work, we rediscover the different stages in the artist's life, focusing on his stays in Arles, Paris and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
In groups, we travel to the heart of the works, and let ourselves be carried away to sunny fields and cities immortalized at night: Potato Eaters (1885), Sunflowers (1888), Starry Night (1889) and The Bedroom (1889) will hold no secrets for us.
In the vast space of theAtelier des Lumières, we discover a selection of Van Gogh's most famous paintings, projected in their entirety! A room of infinite mirrors also plunges us into the master's work.
An incredible immersive experience for all ages, a must-see! The exhibition is open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. On other days, the Atelier des Lumières presents its exhibition on the Little Prince.
