As part of the exhibition"Jeju Island, living with the sea", the Korean Cultural Center invites visitors to discover a sensory and immersive experience, thanks to a video mapping installation, between visual arts and digital landscape design. Conceived as a poetic cartography of nature, the work"Topologie de l'Eau : Roches, Plantes et Vent" (Topology ofWater: Rocks, Plants and Wind) takes place from June 20 to September 6, 2025, for a contemplative journey through the heart of this island.
The result of a collaboration with the Sumu landscape studio, this creation draws its inspiration from research carried out by the Amorepacific Foundation and takes as its starting point the vitality of water, exploring its organic interactions with rock, plants and wind, the founding elements of thevolcanic island of Jeju.
Part art, part meditation, this projection immerses us in a moving fresco of tea plantations, deep forests, silent valleys, shifting seas and volcanic ridges, accompanied by natural sounds recorded on site.
All you have to do is take off your shoes, grab a cushion and settle in for a few moments (you can survey the space if you prefer), admiring the various tableaux that follow one another, some where you're lulled by the sound of the waves, others enchanted by the magical aspect of hundreds of tiny lights that surround you like fireflies, or enveloped by the sound of a waterfall or rain, as if you'd changed atmosphere.
A journey through beautiful Korean landscapes in the heart of the capital, in an intimate atmosphere that invites you to reconnect with nature! Don't hesitate to make a reservation before you come, to be sure of access to this free space!
